Job summary

HCA Florida North Florida Hospital invites Radiology Imaging Student Externs to join as PRN team members, gaining hands-on experience under experienced radiology staff. You will engage with patients before imaging, help position and transport them, and support room setup and supplies to keep procedures running smoothly.

Applicants must have CPR within 30 days of start, be enrolled in an accredited Radiology program, and preference is given to those who have completed their first year.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited school of Radiology.
• Preference will be given to students who have completed their 1st year of the Radiology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging by obtaining histories, verifying identities, and assisting with positioning communicating clearly and compassionately
• Safely transport patients between areas, supporting their comfort and emotional needs during procedures
• Set up imaging rooms, manage turnover, and organize supplies to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient environment
• Serve as a vital connection between patients, technologists, and the care team by communicating needs and concerns promptly
• Take ownership of your growth by participating in learning opportunities and following safety and confidentiality standards
