Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support (BLS/ALS).
• Current Texas MRT license (temporary license acceptable).
• ARRT-R registered radiology technologist.
• Ability to lift and/or maneuver patients with assistance when required.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiography (x-ray) exams on patients with attention to radiation safety and image quality.
• Positions patients and selects imaging techniques to obtain necessary views.
• Obtains and records patient vitals and assists with IV/contrast when necessary.
• Enters and monitors patient data in the department system.
• Participates in quality assurance for radiology equipment and processes.
• May participate in after-hours call and weekend coverage as needed.
• May perform patient registration tasks such as verifying insurance or collecting payments.
• Contributes to a compassionate and safe patient experience for all in the department.
