Inova Health System is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist Extern for Inova Alexandria Hospital. This PRN position supports ongoing patient imaging needs and learning under supervision within a busy radiology department.

The candidate is a full-time student in good standing in an accredited Radiologic Technology program with High School/GED and BLS certification, ready to contribute to high-quality care and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Must be a 2nd year student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates acquisition and practice of new skills with supervision.
• Communicates effectively with mentors and progresses toward independence.
• Adheres to department policies and ensures examinations are optimized for interpretation.
• Supports radiography principles and safety in daily tasks.

Radiology Extern 2 Job Responsibilities:

Demonstrates acquisition and exercise of new skills. Displays progress in level of functionality. Communicates effectively with mentor(s) and over time, demonstrates greater independence and decision-making ability.

Able to perform at expected level of supervisor(s) expectations.

Adheres to department policies and protocols by ensuring all examinations are optimized for interpretation.

Demonstrates the ability and skills to assist with adhering to radiography principles.

• Education:High School or GED. Full-time student in good standing in an accredited school of Radiologic Technology. Must be 2nd year in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
• Certification:Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association
