Job summary

Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY is seeking a Medical Assistant specialized in X-ray to join our clinical team. In this role you will perform administrative and clinical duties under supervision, support radiology activities, and serve as a liaison among patients, physicians, and staff.

You will take vital signs, assist with procedures, perform phlebotomy, manage EMR documentation, and help with scheduling, coding, and front-desk tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or minimum one year of MA experience.
• Must obtain a RAD credential within 6 months of hire if currently RADT holder.
• Additional certification such as CMA is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist with clinical procedures and patient care under supervision.
• Take vitals, document in EMR, and prepare patients for visits.
• Perform phlebotomy and radiology-related tasks where allowed.
• Handle administrative duties: scheduling, phones, billing, and charting.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and care coordination between providers and patients.
