Summary

Responsible for operating and maintaining complex imaging equipment to produce high-quality images according to established standards. This role reports to the Team Lead or Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Perform imaging procedures and produce diagnostic images; maintain skills to meet evaluation expectations; document all activities; adhere to policies regarding quality, safety, and patient flow; operate imaging hardware and software.
  • In Ambulatory, produce all imaging needed for research plans in the Pediatric Imaging Center and assist end users with imaging equipment.
  • Participate in training to develop or enhance skills; obtain/maintain licensure and certification; perform other duties and projects as required.
  • Communicate and collaborate with departmental staff to ensure optimal patient care and participate in hospital processes.
Work Experience

Minimum 6 months related experience preferred.

Education
  • Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • ARRT in Radiography required upon hire.
  • Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license required within 30 days.
  • Basic Life Support certification required upon hire.
