• Observe patients' conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting changes.

• Maintain cleanliness of the CT equipment and workspace.
• Triage and coordinate emergent and unscheduled procedure requests effectively.
• Notify lead staff about expired or soon-to-expire equipment or medications.

Job Description

The CT Technologist will demonstrate professionalism and service excellence while performing various tasks related to imaging procedures, maintaining patient care, and ensuring compliance with established protocols. This role involves obtaining necessary supplies, maintaining sterility, and communicating effectively with patients and families to alleviate anxiety while preserving privacy and dignity. Additionally, the technologist will play a critical role in observing patient conditions and participating in emergency responses when needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain necessary medical, surgical and radiological supplies for specific procedures.
• Maintain sterility of the imaging field and instruments.
• Prepare requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicate with patients and their families before, during, and after procedures.
• Verify patient identification according to AHS policy and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Observe patients' conditions before and after contrast injections, reporting any changes.
• Ensure that medical records, previous reports, labs, and patient histories are available.
• Participate in maintaining cleanliness of the CT equipment and workspace.

Required Experience

No specific experience required, but previous experience in a CT Technologist role is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• ARRT RT (R)
• ARRT RT (CT)
• New Jersey State X-Ray License (NJDEP)
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (preferred)
