Description:Immediate help needed.Expedited checklist approved.The schedule is Wednesday to Wednesday (7 on 7 off).Night shift hours are Wednesday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Thursday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Friday 7 PM to 7 AM, Saturday 7 PM to 7 AM, Sunday 7 PM to 7 AM, Monday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM, Tuesday 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM.Flexibility to work overtime if needed on the night shift to cover for others when they are out on PTO.
The radiologic technologist is responsible for performing screening, diagnostic, and/or therapeutic imaging procedures as required in the modalities where the employee is registered and/or licensed.These procedures are to be performed in accordance with department and hospital protocols and policies.The radiologic technologist must perform the procedures competently and, where applicable, independently, as the procedures may be performed under personal, direct, or general supervision.This position will include tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissues.This position may require day, evening, night shift hours, and availability for on-call coverage.
The radiologic technologist works closely with medical staff, including but not limited to radiologists, hospitalists, and ER physicians.Works closely with hospital district leadership and departments as well as internal and external customers.
Occupational hazards include working in a general hospital setting, with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, as well as patients in varying stages of infectious states.
Qualifications Required:Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.Radiologic Technologist Certification from the American Registry for Radiologic Technologists and certified by the state of California.Desire to cross-train into other modalities.Current CPR card.
Preferred:Minimum of an Associate of Science or Associate of Arts Degree in applicable field or equivalent experience.Experience with PACS/RIS.Experience with electronic health records.
