Qualifications

• CCS or CPC certification is required.
• HS Diploma/GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience coding inpatient and outpatient medical records.
• Bachelor's degree in Arts or Science preferred.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient and outpatient radiology records to determine principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Enter data in Epic systems accurately and promptly.
• Ensure ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Maintain high productivity; target ~40 records coded daily.
• Serve as Coding Quality Specialist by clarifying documentation with physicians.
• Review provider queries and coordinate with coding staff.
• Adjust work schedules to meet revenue cycle deadlines.
• Keep coding literature current and share updates with colleagues.
• Perform revenue cycle activities as needed.
