Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Care Tech to assist with patient care under professional staff supervision. You will support the Radiology unit and collaborate with technologists to ensure safe patient transport, room readiness, and adherence to safety guidelines.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, Healthcare Provider CPR, and the ability to follow both oral and written instructions while maintaining professional interactions with patients and staff.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of professional staff, assists with patient care to support the patient, Radiology unit, and professionals.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Transports patients using safe techniques and supports the technologist with room prep and equipment cleaning.
• Responds to emergencies, initiates CPR when needed, and reports at-risk patients to staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.

RADIOLOGY TECH AIDE

Proficiency Level

Functions as an assistant to the professional technologist in that modality.

Conforms to safety standards dictated by regulatory agencies i.e. safety manuals, MSD sheets, OSHA issues.

Maintains clean work environment, adequate equipment and supplies: All Imaging Equipment is kept in good working condition; Related supplies are kept clean, and are at desired par levels.

Performs patient care activities delegated and supervised by the professional staff: Patient transport performed by (i.e. wheelchair, stretcher, or bed) utilizing appropriate safety techniques to prevent patient and self-injury;

Assists Technologist with room prep, stocking supplies, cleaning, and moving and transport of patients.

Respond effective in emergencies and assists in prevention of patient injury: Initiates CPR when appropriate; Utilizes side rails and restraints to prevent patient injury; Reports to professional staff patients at increased risk for injury.
