Job Overview:

Position Summary:

The Radiology Assistant/Transporter is responsible for transporting patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the facility efficiently and safely.

Essential Functions:

1. Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to designated locations, including those with oxygen tanks, IV pumps, and monitors.
2. Assist patients with entering and exiting vehicles, transferring from wheelchairs or stretchers.
3. Deliver equipment and specimens to appropriate departments or staff.
4. Greet patients and visitors, providing information and directions as needed.
5. Transport patients to and from nursing units and imaging departments, observing safety precautions.
6. Manage transportation and maintenance of oxygen tanks and related equipment.
7. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
8. Make appropriate independent decisions in daily tasks.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Skills: Critical thinking, decisive judgment, ability to work independently, and handle stressful situations.
• Certifications: BLS certification required.
• Experience: Customer service experience preferred.
