Job summary

AdventHealth in Apopka, FL seeks an Imaging Department Support role to assist patients preparing for exams, aid technologists, and maintain clean, stocked imaging rooms. The position supports efficient workflow and patient safety in a fast-paced hospital setting.

The role requires a High School diploma, BLS, and strong communication with patients and staff. Part-time schedule, day shift, with responsibilities across radiology operations.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or equivalent required.
• 1+ year hospital radiology experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must read, write and speak conversational English.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with imaging exam preparation and verify identification under supervision.
• Support technologists by positioning patients and preparing rooms as directed.
• Clean and restock imaging rooms between patients for infection control.
• Maintain inventory of linens, supplies and equipment; alert staff when low.
• Answer phones, relay messages, and assist with interdepartmental communication.
• Transport patients to and from imaging areas; ensure safety and timeliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

SHIFT: 0700 – 1300 Mon – Wed and on Friday. For the Weekend the hours may differ.

• Assists patients with preparation for imaging exams, including changing into appropriate attire and verifying identification under supervision.
• Supports technologists during procedures by positioning patients, moving equipment, or preparing exam rooms as directed.
• Cleans and restocks imaging rooms between patients, ensuring cleanliness, infection control compliance, and readiness for next exam.
• Maintains adequate inventory of linens, supplies, and equipment, alerting appropriate staff when items are low.
• Answers phones, relays messages, and assists with communication between technologists, nursing, and other departments to support efficient workflow.
• Greets, escorts, and transports patients to and from imaging areas, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely movement throughout the department.
• Other duties as assigned.
