Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking a Radiology Aide to assist radiology technologists and radiologists with imaging procedures, equipment setup, and ensuring a safe, comfortable patient environment. Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., onsite.

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; 0–1 year experience preferred (radiology experience a plus). Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to lift and assist patients are essential.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures, explain the imaging process and answer questions.
• Prepare and arrange radiology equipment (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound) for imaging procedures.
• Help position patients on the imaging table or appropriate standing/sitting position to obtain clear images.
• Assist radiology technologists with image processing tasks and transfer images to PACS.
• Transport patients to and from the radiology department and maintain patient safety during movement.
• Keep track of supplies (contrast agents, gowns, etc.) and document procedures for medical records.

Responsible for assisting radiology technologists and radiologists with various tasks, including breast biopsies, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment, and providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients during imaging procedures.Does this position require Patient Care? YesEssential Functions:Greet and prepare patients for radiology procedures, explaining the imaging process and answering any questions they may have.Prepare and arrange radiology equipment, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI machines, and ultrasound devices, for imaging procedures.Help position patients correctly on the imaging table or in the appropriate standing/sitting position to obtain clear and accurate images.Assist radiology technologists with image processing tasks, such as labeling and organizing digital images, and transferring them to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).Assist in transporting patients to and from the radiology department, ensuring their safety and comfort during the process.Keep track of supplies, including contrast agents, gowns, and other necessary items in the radiology department.Maintain accurate records of patient procedures, ensuring that all relevant information is documented properly for medical records and billing purposes.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
