General Description:The Dental Hygiene curriculum prepares graduates for positions as oral health clinicians and educators in private practice sites, schools and alternative practice settings.
The program includes both classroom study and experiential clinical learning. The hands-on clinical training is conducted on campus in a 16-chair, free dental hygiene clinic. During clinical rounds, students will have the opportunity to treat diverse patient demographics, many with advanced periodontal disease.
The Radiology Aid will work with the Curriculum Coordinator and the faculty members in monitoring the students during patient radiation exposure.
