Job summary

RSNA is seeking a Medical Imaging AI Strategist in Oak Brook, IL with hybrid or full remote work options. This senior role shapes how AI tools are developed and adopted in radiology, coordinating across departments to deliver a trusted, radiologist-centered AI value proposition.

The candidate will guide strategy, manage governance, and build strategic relationships with industry and academia while ensuring clinical relevance and regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Recognized expertise in applied or clinical AI within medical imaging.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into guidance for professional audiences.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and steward RSNA’s strategy to support real-world clinical AI adoption in radiology.
• Advise senior leadership and the Board on AI trends, risks, opportunities, and strategic tradeoffs.
• Ensure RSNA’s AI initiatives function as an integrated system.
• Identify gaps and needs in RSNA’s AI portfolio and recommend adjustments.
• Ensure guidance reflects diversity of practice environments (academic, community, global).
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with radiology leaders, industry partners, and federal agencies.
• Develop a partnership roadmap for external AI strategy with academia and industry.
• Define competency expectations and align content to residents, fellows, radiologists, and leaders.
• Coordinate with councils and educators to curate faculty and learning pathways.
