Mayo Clinic Arizona seeks an exceptional early-career scientist for an Associate Career Scientist faculty position at the intersection of artificial intelligence, medical imaging, multimodal data science, and clinical translation.

The role offers a joint appointment with 50% effort in Radiology and 50% in the A3I Hub, with access to extensive clinical, imaging, genomic, and multimodal data resources and a collaborative environment across Mayo Clinic campuses.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field.
• Minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.
• Proven scholarly achievement and publication record.
• Ability to establish independent funded research program.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead an innovative independent research program aligned with Mayo Clinic's AI priorities.
• Conduct cutting-edge research in AI, machine learning, and multimodal biomedical data science.
• Collaborate with Radiology, AI & Informatics, Oncology, Cardiology, Neurology and other departments.
• Publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
• Pursue extramural funding from NIH, NSF, ARPA-H, DOD, foundations, and industry partners.
• Mentor trainees including postdocs, graduate students, residents, and medical students.
• Contribute to development of AI platforms and translational solutions.
