Job summary

The Miami VA Healthcare System's Radiology Service is seeking an experienced Radiologist-Mammography to lead breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, tomography, and image-guided biopsies.

The physician will provide interpretive radiology services, supervise trainees, and contribute to the growth of the VA academic hospital program while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD degree from a school approved by VA
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license in a US state or territory
• Completed residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility/certification
• Board certification or board-eligible in Mammography (MQSA preferred)

Responsibilities

• Interpret breast imaging exams (screening & diagnostic mammography) with correlation to clinical info
• Perform ultrasound, tomography, and image-guided biopsies as needed
• Generate reports with findings, measurements, and impressions
• Supervise and mentor radiology trainees and residents
• Consult with referring physicians regarding imaging strategies and test selection
• Administer contrast agents and monitor patient safety during procedures
