Qualifications

• Doctorate in medical practice from an accredited school.
• Must be admissible to sit for the Canadian or American Board or be certified by the Canadian Board and be a member of the Royal College of Physicians or Royal College of Surgeons, or hold American board certification or AOA certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, diagnoses and treats patients presenting with injuries or illnesses.
• Counsels patients and advises on preventive healthcare measures.
• Exercises professional judgment in line with Altru policies and standards.
• Achieves annual Patient Engagement and Quality & Safety goals.
• Supports department objectives and maintains accurate documentation.
