Work Schedule
No evening or weekend hours; standard Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm.
Position Overview
This is a dedicated full‑time breast imaging radiologist position at an outpatient‑only practice in Eugene, Oregon. The role welcomes radiologists at all experience levels.
Position Highlights
- Analyze and interpret general imaging studies across multiple modalities (X‑ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, etc.).
- Provide detailed diagnostic reports and communicate findings to referring physicians.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating diseases based on imaging results.
- Occasionally interact with patients to explain imaging procedures, if necessary.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams—including oncologists, surgeons, internists, and other specialists—in breast tumor board discussions.
- Provide real‑time consultations during imaging‑guided procedures, when required.
- Ensure high‑quality diagnostic services by adhering to established radiology protocols.
- Participate in quality control programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform or assist in breast imaging procedures such as stereotactic/tomographic, ultrasound, and MRI guidance.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain board certification and fulfill continuing education requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across multiple imaging disciplines.
- Familiarity with PACS and other radiology information systems.
- Women’s Imaging Fellowship or previous breast imaging experience.

Compensation
Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $442,500 to $748,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on local labor markets, education, work experience, and may increase over time based on productivity and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a four‑year U.S. medical school or equivalent; residency completed in radiology.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (recertification provided). Oregon Medical Group/Optum supplies recertification.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in radiology.
- Unrestricted Oregon license or ability to obtain one prior to start date (licensing expenses covered).
- Proficiency in general radiology modalities (X‑ray, MRI, CT, ultrasound, etc.).
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying findings to medical staff.
- Ability to handle high caseloads efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
