Job summary

Northern Light Medical Management is seeking a board-certified Diagnostic Radiologist to provide accurate interpretations across X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. You will support clinical decision-making, collaborate with referring providers, and maintain compliance with Joint Commission and HIPAA standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a hospital-based radiology setting, strong leadership and teaching abilities, and a commitment to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by ABR or equivalent.
• Multiple state licensure and any additional certifications required for specialty areas.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital-based diagnostic radiology setting preferred.
• Proficiency in digital imaging technologies and electronic medical record systems including PACS and Merge.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Expertise in subspecialties such as neuroradiology, musculoskeletal radiology, or pediatric radiology.
• Experience in teaching and mentoring residents and medical students.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and excellence in clinical outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Diagnostic Radiologist serves as a key member of the clinical team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely interpretations of diagnostic imaging to support effective clinical decision‑making and high‑quality patient care.

This role requires a board‑certified physician who demonstrates advanced clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to quality, patient safety, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The Diagnostic Radiologist contributes to the ongoing advancement of imaging services, supports referring providers through clear and actionable reporting, and ensures full adherence to all applicable regulatory, compliance, and accreditation standards, including those established by The Joint Commission.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Interpret a wide range of imaging modalities, including X‑rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy. Collaborate with referring physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure the best patient outcomes.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to facilitate the timely delivery of imaging results and reports.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent.
• Multiple state licensure and any additional certifications required for specialty areas.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a hospital‑based diagnostic radiology setting preferred.
• Proficiency in digital imaging technologies and electronic medical record systems including PACS and Merge.

REGULATORY & COMPLIANCE EXPECTATIONS:

• Follow established infection prevention, safety, and quality protocols.
• Participate in audits, credentialing, and ongoing competency assessments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Visual acuity sufficient to interpret detailed diagnostic images.
• Manual dexterity to operate computer systems and imaging software.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.
• Occasional movement throughout clinical and office environments.
