In this role as our Radiologic Technologist Trainee (RTT), you will observe and learn how to produce diagnostic images using a variety of radiographic equipment, including R/F suites, general radiographic systems, portable systems, C-arm fluoroscopy, and digital radiography systems. You will be trained to select the appropriate technical factors for optimal results, use proper radiation protection and shielding as prescribed in protocols. Trainees will gain competency in performing exams and procedures on neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients. You will be responsible for daily quality assurance, maintaining quality control standards, following research protocols, and inspecting imaging devices for failures, reporting them promptly. Lastly, trainees will review requisitions with radiologists to assess exam appropriateness and perform other duties as assigned.
The RTT is expected to support UCLA healthcare radiology locations in the Santa Monica and Westwood regions. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled or a recent graduate from an approved Radiologic Technologist program.
Salary Range: $38.05 Hourly
