Last Energy is looking for an experienced Radiological Engineer to support the safety and licensing analysis for its innovative PWR-20 micro nuclear reactor. You will engage with nuclear engineering teams to ensure compliance with radiation safety and accident dose requirements while leading analyses and interfacing with regulatory authorities. Qualifications
5+ years of applicable experience in PWR or BWR radiological evaluations.
Experience in nuclear industry analysis codes.
Strong team interaction and communication skills.
Responsibilities
Determine core and coolant radiological source terms.
Calculate theoretical accident doses and impacts.
Prepare and review safety analyses and calculation files.
Skills
Proficiency in MCNP
Proficiency in SCALE
Proficiency in RADTRAD
Scripting with PYTHON
Coding with EXCEL VB
Team interaction skills
Effective communication skills
Education
BS, MS, or PhD in Nuclear Engineering
Related degree in Physics with nuclear concentration
