Job summary

HII's Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a laboratory professional to perform routine procedures, prepare solutions and record observations essential to production, quality, and safety. You will support laboratory operations across production, R&D, QA, and environmental compliance in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires an Associate's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent credential, willingness to work rotating shifts, and ability to lift up to 30 lbs on a multi-floor

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience required.
• Alternative credentials acceptable include NNS Apprentice School graduate, NNPS graduate, or equivalent mix of high school/GED with related or non-related experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare routine solutions and reagents and perform routine reactions.
• Conduct laboratory support tasks such as stocking, distributing supplies, arranging and dismantling apparatus, and handling glassware.

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

High School/GED and 2 years of related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
