Position Title

POOL Radiologic (X‑Ray) Technologist

Overview

Join a growing orthopaedic practice where your skills are valued and your schedule supports work‑life balance. We are seeking a POOL Radiologic (X‑Ray) Technologist to join our outpatient orthopaedic team.

Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality diagnostic X‑ray imaging for orthopaedic patients.
• Position patients properly for musculoskeletal imaging studies.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety protocols.
• Work closely with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care.
• Maintain accurate imaging records within the electronic medical record system.
• Assist with clinic workflow and patient preparation as needed.
• Communicate effectively with immediate coworkers as well as those throughout the clinic.

Requirements

Required

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification required.
• Valid, unrestricted Wisconsin Radiographer license (with no limitations, stipulations, or pending adverse actions).
• Completed AMA‑approved radiologic technology training (2‑year minimum) or associate or bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or a related field.
• Current CPR/AED certification.

Preferred

• Experience as an x‑ray technologist, preferably in an orthopaedic or hospital setting.
• Proficient in operating x‑ray equipment and related technology.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, particularly the musculoskeletal system.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to safely lift and position patients for imaging procedures.
• Familiar with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as EPIC.
• Competence in using imaging software such as PACS.
