Job summary

Diagnostic Laboratories & Radiology in Omaha is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate portable DR equipment and produce diagnostic images for interpretation by a Radiologist. The role may be part-time or full-time and involves local travel to nursing homes, assisted livings, jails, and patients' homes.

Responsibilities include performing x-ray exams, conducting EKGs when needed, handling paperwork and billing, and maintaining the x-ray equipment and vehicle.

Qualifications

• Maintain ARRT certification and state licenses.
• Valid driver's license in the applicable state.
• Newly registered/licensed technologists strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate portable DR radiology equipment to produce diagnostic images.
• Drive company vehicle to nursing homes, jails, and patients' homes for exams.
• Perform EKGs and transmit to Cardiologist as needed.
• Obtain and scan exam-related paperwork/billing documents daily.
• Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.
• Communicate professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
• Maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment.
• Care for equipment in a professional manner.
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.

Late Afternoon/Evening, Part-time or Full-time available

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operating portable (DR) radiology equipment to produce diagnostic quality images for Radiologist interpretation.
• Driving company vehicle with radiology equipment to various locations (nursing homes, assisted livings, jails, and/or patients' own homes) to perform various x-ray exams as ordered by the physician
• Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. (if required)
• Obtain and scan required exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol.
• Regularly communicate with dispatch and management.
• Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients.
• Maintain vehicle and x-ray equipment.
• Technologist must care for their equipment in a professional manner.
• Perform special projects or other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
