Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform a wide range of radiology exams and assist with related duties. The role follows ASRT scope guidelines and requires competent patient positioning, image evaluation, and clear communication with patients.

Qualifications include vocational/technical radiography training, ARRT registration, MA Rad Tech license by start date, and BLS. 0–1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Medical Radiography required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Radiography preferred.
• MARadTech-Radiography license required, ARRT registration required, and BLS certification required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• MA Rad Tech license by start date required for new hires.
• New hires will have 30 days to provide BLS certification.
• Temp MA Rad Tech License and ARRT eligibility within 1 year of graduation for new grads.
• Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams with appropriate equipment setup and alignment; enters instructions into computers; monitor and evaluate images for accuracy and completeness.
• Evaluates radiographs for image quality and completeness.
• Responds to patient's physical and psychological needs; explains procedures clearly to minimize anxiety; observes patient condition and reports changes to nurse or physician.
