Job summary

Duke Urgent Care in Knightdale is hiring a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and produce radiographs for routine and urgent care cases. The role includes patient education, positioning, and ensuring imaging quality, with a focus on safety and accuracy.

The position requires AMA approved radiology training and ARRT certification, with both new graduates and experienced technologists welcome. BLS certification is also required. A commitment bonus is available for this role.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology and ARRT Certification.
• New graduate and experienced technologists welcome.
• ARRT certification and BLS certification are required to practice.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to obtain radiographs of designated areas.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort and safety.
• Position patients and use shielding and equipment as needed.
• Maintain image quality and complete documentation for interpretation.
• Provide education and orientation to new staff and students.
