An established healthcare provider is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic ultrasound examinations. This role involves working with diverse patient populations, from infants to geriatrics, and providing exceptional customer service. The technologist will operate advanced ultrasound equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging in various settings, including the Radiology Department and Operating Room. The Ultrasound technologist performs diagnostic/therapeutic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. The technologist performs diagnostic medical ultrasound on all patient populations (infant through geriatric) and exhibits superior levels of customer service. The technologist effectively operates ultrasound equipment to produce quality images in a variety of settings (Radiology Department, Operating Room, and the patient's bedside). The technologist explains procedures and answers questions for the patient. The technologist demonstrates appropriate patient positioning to obtain optimum views of specified anatomy. The technologist adjusts equipment controls to set proper protocol based on knowledge of the procedure and established guidelines. The technologist assists the Radiologist, when necessary. The technologist interacts with numerous computer programs and systems on a daily basis.
Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology or an approved Ultrasound technology program.
One-year hospital experience preferred.
American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Abdomen and Vascular certification preferred.
CPR certification (Basic Cardiac Life Support [American Red Cross-CPR for the Professional Rescuer] or Basic Life Support [American Heart Association-Health Care Provider]) obtained within first 90 days of employment.
PRN - As Needed - Day Shift - PRN 7:30am-4pm.
