Job summary

ECU Health’s Outer Banks Hospital seeks a Radiology Technologist to operate X-ray equipment and produce radiographs for diagnostic interpretation at the Outer Banks Medical Group. You will ensure proper patient positioning, manage exposures, and assist physicians as needed.

The role requires ARRT registry, BLS, and at least a few months of radiology experience; full-time schedule with 36 hours weekly and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current ARRT registry required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required upon hire.
• At least 3 months radiology experience; 1 year preferred.
• Clinical support services experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce radiographs.
• Position patients properly for imaging.
• Capture exposures and develop films for interpretation.
• Assist physicians as needed.
• Perform laboratory testing and monitor results.
• Communicate results promptly to relevant staff.
• Available for on-call emergency procedures.
• Help manage patient pain when possible.

Job description

Position Summary

Operates X-Ray Equipment to make radiographs of designated body parts. Responsibilities include knowledge of all x-ray equipment, proper patient positioning, exposures, film developing for interpretations, implementation of patient charges, and assists physician physicians as required. Performs laboratory testing, monitors test results, assures test quality and validity; communicates results in a timely manner. Will be available for emergency on-call procedures as required. Recognizes the need for control/assessment of pain for patients and helps to prevent or reduce patient pain levels when possible.

Minimum Requirements

Must be a High School Graduate (or equivalent) or higher. Must possess a current ARRT registry. American Heart Association BLS certification is required upon hire.

Requires at least three months of Radiology work experience, but 1 year of experience is preferred. Clinical support services experience preferred.

Pay Range

$24.69 - $35.99

Starting pay in the Outer Banks Hospital/Outer Banks Medical Group market may be higher to reflect local market competitiveness.
