Qualifications

Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographic images per physician requests.
Screen patients for imaging safety and explain the process to patients.
Maintain ARRT quality control and safety guidelines.
Prepare radiology department daily: cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing areas.

Responsibilities

Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographic images of patients’ body parts as requested by medical professionals (C-arm and fluoroscopy).
Adjust equipment for proper exposure time, voltage, and distance to obtain optimal images.
Screen patients for safety and explain the procedure prior to imaging.
Position patients and apply protective equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
Evaluate image quality and document imaging performed in EMR/PACS.
Maintain quality control per ARRT guidelines and QA procedures.
Follow QA guidelines including positioning, demographics, and coning for optimal images.
Prepare radiology department daily: cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
