Job summary

West Valley Hospital in Dallas, Oregon, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. You’ll perform high-quality imaging exams, tailor techniques to each patient, and uphold safety and patient comfort in a smaller hospital setting.

You’ll collaborate with physicians and technologists, use Philips/Canon equipment, and work with EPIC, Radiant, and PACS. This unscheduled/per diem role offers daytime to overnight shifts and no on-call requirements, with opportunities for

Qualifications

Graduated from an accredited radiologic technology program.
Licensed with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) in Radiography.

Responsibilities

Select appropriate radiation exposure settings based on the patient’s body type and condition.
Capture high-quality images, tailoring exams to meet the specific needs of each patient.
Document thorough and relevant patient histories, including symptoms and onset.
Provide compassionate care while ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine care, identify malfunctions, and report issues to ensure minimal downtime.
Utilize Radiant Radiology, EPIC, and PACS systems for imaging requests, documentation, and charge entry.
Support the care team by assisting with various tasks such as clerical duties, patient calls, order protocols, phlebotomy, rooming, POC testing, and medication administration as needed.
