Compensation : Flat Rates:

Day Shift: $52.00 per hour
Evening Shift: $55.00 per hour
Night Shift: $56.00 per hour Job Highlights : UAB Medicine is excited to introduce a new travel alternative program (TAP), which offers experienced radiologic technologists a unique and innovative temporary contract opportunity in Birmingham. This program empowers radiologic technologists to sharpen their skills, use the latest equipment and procedures, and expand their knowledge. This role is available at the main UAB Hospital – a Level I Trauma Center and the No. 1 hospital in Alabama as ranked byU.S. News & World Report. To perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. To assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor.

Initial contract length is 12 weeks with optional renewal for duration of 8-12 weeks.

Qualifications

Must have a minimum of 2years of experience in the area approved for assignment or 12 months of UAB Medicine experience. Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Currently registered as a Registered Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR registered within one (1) year from date of hire for a new graduate required.
