Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for surgical/or imaging duties across multiple shifts at our Level I trauma center. You will support complex procedures such as ISS fixation and ORIF with imaging guidance, working in a fast-paced OR environment and advancing patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Radiography program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the ARRT is required.
• Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
• Currently registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(ARRT)) by ARRT is required OR registration within one year from date of hire for a new graduate.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work exclusively in the OR to perform radiological procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Perform a variety of procedures with independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
• May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor.

To perform a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. To assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor.

Qualifications
