Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina seeks a Student Radiologic Technologist to assist in diagnostic imaging exams under supervision. You will prepare patients, position them for imaging, and support technologists and physicians during various radiographic procedures.

Qualifications

• 2nd year student pursuing Diagnostic Imaging Program in good standing.
• Ability to learn new processes, tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients and selects exposure factors under supervision.
• Follows safety standards and performs quality control procedures.
• Assists supervising technologists and physicians in radiographic exams.
• Positions patients and selects appropriate parameters.
• Maintains department cleanliness and orderliness.
• Notifies staff of supply needs and equipment issues.
• Maintains constant alertness and safe work practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
