Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a radiologic technologist to perform X-ray exams with accuracy, anatomical positioning, and patient safety as priorities. The role supports adult and pediatric radiology with the intent to provide high-quality diagnostic images for physician review.

Qualified candidates have graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registration within 6 months, SC licensure, and current BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience.
• Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the ARRT within 6 months of hire.
• Licensure: Licensure from the SC Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
• BLS/CPR: Current Basic Life Support required; ACLS preferred.

Job Description

Perform medical exams using X-rays on patients to create images of specific parts of the body. The images are then interpreted by a doctor for diagnosis and monitoring of disease.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: Zero to two years of modality specific work experience. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 6 months of hire. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
