Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Assists in patient preparation, positioning, and completion of examinations.
  2. Actively seeks instruction and demonstration of medical imaging techniques, practices, and processes from credentialed technologists.
  3. Observes a patient when required.
  4. Assists in patient transporting.
  5. Assists in ensuring all necessary supplies are available and stocked.
  6. Assists technical staff with any/all duties necessary for completion of imaging studies.
  7. Applies principles of patient safety during all aspects of patient care.
  8. Effectively uses Radiology Information System.
  9. Efficiently completes, reviews, and prepares paperwork and corroborates a patient’s clinical history with the procedure and ensuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
  10. Maintains confidentiality and an ethical relationship with all patients and medical records.

Requirements:

Must be a first-year student actively attending an accredited educational radiologic technology program recognized by the JRC-ARRT, JRC-DMS, or accredited program recognized by the CCAHEP or CMA.
