Geisinger is looking for a first-year medical imaging student to assist Radiology Technologist staff in patient care and preparation. This role involves hands-on support within the Radiology departments, including patient transportation and preparation under supervision.
Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited radiologic technology program and hold a High School Diploma. The position offers healthcare benefits for full-time and part-time workers from day one.
Assists Radiology Technologist staff in providing non‑technical and/or supervised technical support to the various departments of Radiology. Expedites care through direct patient contact including patient transportation, patient preparation, specimen transportation, preparation of imaging rooms and other related assistance. Cares for patients of all ages under direct technologist supervision.
Candidate must be a first‑year medical imaging student actively attending an accredited educational radiologic technology program recognized by the JRC‑ARRT, JRC‑DMS, or accredited program recognized by the CCAHEP or CMA. Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
