Job summary

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, SC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging, prepare patients, and ensure radiation safety in an acute care setting. You will collaborate with radiologists to deliver high-quality images and maintain accurate records.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT certification, and a state license, with BLS within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT registration and state license required.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• 1 year of experience in diagnostic radiology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and ensure safety.
• Operate radiographic equipment to capture diagnostic images.
• Verify patient identity and clinical history prior to imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records for imaging procedures and outcomes.
• Implement radiation safety measures to minimize exposure.
• Assist in administration of contrast media as directed by radiologists.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and report issues.
• Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment.
• Collaborate with radiologists to assess imaging quality and adjust techniques.
• Maintain a clean, infection-controlled work area.
