Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Full time; hours of Centra Care operation are Monday-Friday 8am-8pm, and 8am-5pm on Saturdays and Sundays, and some holidays. 40 hours a week, with a float pool schedule built a month in advance. Flexibility is needed; shift times may vary, but hours will fall within the CC hours of operation.

Location: Travel Required - Up to 25 Miles from home center

  • AdventHealth Centra Care’s board-certified physicians provide adult and pediatric care when you need it.
  • Our urgent care clinics are open 7 days a week and can treat a wide range of non-life-threatening conditions.
  • We are equipped with x-ray, prescription, and lab services.
  • Centra Care is an affordable alternative to the emergency room for urgent conditions like broken bones, infections, allergies, stomach problems, and pediatric concerns.

The role you’ll contribute:

Reporting to the Practice Manager and under the supervision of the Providers, the X-Ray Technician cares for patients and performs a variety of activities, including laboratory testing and radiographic exams. Adheres to state, federal, and organizational guidelines to ensure quality care and patient safety, with support from the Clinical Excellence team. Maintains organization and facilitates patient flow. Participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with patients and staff.

  • Creates and owns the patient experience by driving customer service initiatives.
  • Performs basic radiological examinations and related clerical duties, including processing reference laboratory specimens, venipuncture, specimen handling, labeling, and tracking results.
  • Documents and reports all procedures and assessments clearly and accurately, in accordance with department policy.
  • Assesses patients during clinical check-in using age-specific guidelines, documents medical information and vital signs, and recognizes signs of abuse or neglect.
  • Completes general orders and follow-up assessments as ordered by providers, verifying details as needed. Responds appropriately to clinical emergencies and triage situations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR Certification
  • Current State license (if applicable), such as General Radiographer (RT) and/or ARRT Credential in Radiography
  • Ability to operate radiographic equipment and work with electrical and radiant energy
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general radiographic procedures
