Job Summary: The Radiologic Technologist is a certified health professional responsible for applying diagnostic imaging techniques using ionizing radiation under the supervision of an authorized user.

Essential Functions:

• Obtain patient history and relevant lab work, ensuring documentation for licensed practitioners.
• Position and immobilize patients to best demonstrate anatomical areas, respecting patient comfort.
• Apply radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Perform radiographic procedures using imaging equipment.
• Verify informed consent and complete documentation pre- and post-procedure.
• Assist licensed practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized radiography procedures, applying aseptic techniques as needed.

Education: Associates degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).

Licensing & Certifications:

• Certification and registration with ARRT (required).
• State licensure (preferred, depending on state requirements).
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (required, must obtain prior to direct patient care).

Experience:

• 1 year experience in radiation safety and patient care (preferred).
• Experience with Radiology Information System (preferred).
