Qualifications

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: The following shifts are available –

  • Monday – Friday (1:00 pm – 9:30 pm)

The role you’ll contribute:

Performs Radiographic imaging procedures. Positions, moves, and assists patients. Performs clerical duties. Performs basic patient care within scope of practice and to departmental standards. Responsibility to adhere to the Florida Hospital Corporate compliance plan, to the rules and regulations of all local, state, and Federal agencies, and to the standards of all accrediting bodies.

  • Performs Radiographic imaging procedures.
  • Cross train into CT, MRI or Mammography as needed.
  • Positions patient and equipment and selects technical factors to produce radiographic images meeting Radiologist’s standards, in a safe, timely manner.
  • Processes radiographs, with correct patient demographic and examination information.
  • Uses computer to enter and access patient information correctly and change procedure status and billing.
  • Performs clerical duties, including answering telephones, completing patient record, filing and scheduling.
  • Utilizes department computer system as needed for patient record keeping and scheduling.
  • Positions, moves, and assists patients as needed to properly and safely complete Radiographs, to assist others to and from, as well as within the department or to assist patient movement.
  • Moves, positions and manipulates stationary Radiographic equipment in order to safely complete requested procedure.
  • Selects proper technical factors and operates equipment in a safe and effective manner, with proper attention to radiation, electrical and mechanical safety.
  • Performs direct patient care duties, within technologist’s scope of practice. Utilizes proper infection control techniques.
  • Performs basic patient care, including monitoring of patient condition, caring for patient comfort, safety and privacy. Obtains and documents patient history and explains procedures.
  • Documents care received within the department. Maintains clean, well-stocked work area.

*Terms: 24-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

  • Applicable experience required.
  • Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible.
  • Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.
Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Current Florida license in Radiography
  • Current ARRT certification
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • One (1) or more year of experience preferably in radiology or a new graduate of accredited radiologic technology program.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Able to fully use all Radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, including C-arm and portable units. Utilizes Cerner HIS and PACS system. Basic PC knowledge required. Must be able to use and trouble shoot all equipment within department.
