Job summary

Vanderbilt Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging in line with department policies and procedures. The role supports safe, accurate imaging and patient care within an academic health system on the main campus.

The position involves PRN minimum shift requirements with diverse night/day/weekend shifts and shift differentials. You will join a large, respected team committed to education, research and compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Certification: ARRT licensure or equivalent.
  • Education: Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required).
  • Relevant work experience in Allied health/ radiology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate imaging.
  • Applies a broad range of radiology skills to complete exams timely and with quality.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards for screening patients, staff and self.
  • Assists in orientation and training of new staff.
  • Recognizes that duties may expand and additional responsibilities may be assigned.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.
