Job summary

Wellstar Radiology is seeking a PRN Radiology Technologist to join our team in Georgia. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification and BLS required; experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and competently, maintaining diagnostic quality.
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and identify patients prior to exams.
• Explain procedures clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout visits.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; re-image if needed and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist with life-support equipment as required.
• Organize daily workflow to meet timeframes; support department flow and compliance.
