The CORE Institute in Peoria Lakes Clinic is seeking a Pool Radiologic Technologist to perform radiology procedures and travel to other clinics as needed. You will maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards while delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate Degree in Radiology, ARRT certification, and 1-2 years of hospital or clinic experience, with strong knowledge of safety policies and effective communication with patients and team members.

  • 1-2 years of Radiologic Technologist experience in a hospital or clinic.
  • Current state and ARRT certification with the ARRT.

Responsibilities

  • Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians.
  • Travels to other clinics as directed by Chief Technologist or Radiology Director.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
  • Communicates effectively with physicians, staff and patients.
  • Attends required department staff meetings.
  • Demonstrates current competencies for the position.

As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are looking for a Pool, Radiologic Technologist in our Peoria Lakes Clinic. Please see below for the functions and requirements for this position.

Essential Functions
  • Performs radiology procedures as ordered by physicians and providers.
  • Travels to other clinics as directed by Chief Technologist and/or Radiology Director.
  • Processes room add-on cases prior to scheduled cases.
  • Uses equipment in compliance to all safety requirements.
  • Complies with all HIPAA and OSHA requirements.
  • Reports any patient complaints or concerns to the Chief Technologist.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with physicians, employees and other departments.
  • Responds to patient questions as required to resolve issues and maintain high patient satisfaction levels.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Attends required department staff meetings.
  • The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
EDUCATION
  • Associates Degree in Radiology Technology and current ARRT certification.
Experience
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinic environment.
Requirements
  • Current state and ARRT certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of radiology exam policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of operating a PC and applicable computer software.
  • Knowledge of safety requirements within the department.
Skills
  • Skill in production of radiology exams.
  • Skill in obtaining patient information via the computer.
  • Skill in maintaining professional relationships with patients, family members and the public.
Abilities
  • Ability to effectively care for patients.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to patients, family members and staff.Ability to maintain professional relationships with providers.
ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Normal office environment.
  • Some travel within community.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
  • Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
  • Combination of bending, lifting and transferring activities.
  • Manual dexterity using a calculator and computer keyboard.
