Qualifications

• ARRT registration in Radiology is required within 1 month of hire.
• Current registry with the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) is required within 1 month of hire.
• Two years’ radiology experience is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of radiation protection, physics, positioning, and image critique is required.
• Extensive computer literacy including CR, PACS, and HIS is required.
• Knowledge to provide care appropriate to various age-related needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations including fluoroscopy, trauma, portables, operating room, pain clinic and special procedures.
• Perform radiographic procedures following accepted principles and practices at CGH Medical Center.
• Assess examination quality, appropriateness, and results accurately.
• Educate customers by explaining procedures.
• Supervise student technologist appropriately.
• Complete record entries into the computerized system.
• Assist in maintaining images and other records.
• Recognize and respond to emergencies appropriately.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Performs radiographic procedures using accepted principles and practices at CGH Medical Center
• Accurately assesses examination quality, appropriateness, and results
• Educates customers by explaining procedures
• Supervises student technologist appropriately
• Completes record entries into computerized system
• Assists in the maintenance of images and other records
• Recognizes and responds to emergency situations appropriately
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements
