Overview

X-ray Technologist

Location: Quincy, IL Pay Range: $22.68 - $34.02 per hour | Based on Relevant ExperienceSchedule: PRN, as needed

About the Role:Quincy Medical Group (QMG) is seeking a dedicated X-ray Technologist to join our Radiology team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, work closely with physicians, and ensure patient comfort and safety. This is a hands-on position requiring technical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing excellent care.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic procedures as prescribed by physicians to assist in accurate diagnosis.
  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, and ensure their comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate and adjust X-ray equipment to obtain clear, high-quality images.
  • Complete and submit X-ray requests for accurate billing and documentation.
  • Maintain equipment through preventive care and monitor its safe operation.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved Radiology program.
  • License through IEMA and licensed by the State of Illinois in Radiography.
  • Previous clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
