Job summary

Tidewater Orthopaedic Associates in Hampton, VA is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Imaging team. The position involves producing quality diagnostic radiographs and MRI images when applicable, with attention to accuracy and efficiency, and supporting physicians' imaging requests.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program, ARRT registered, hold a Virginia state license, and maintain current BLS certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic technology.
  • ARRT registration is required.
  • Valid Virginia State license.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • One year radiography experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs and/or MRI images (if applicable) upon the request of the physicians.
  • Fill out all required paperwork accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly state.
  • Participate in the instruction and evaluation of radiologic technology students.
  • Cross train to do extremity MRI’s.
  • Participate in clinic performance improvement activities.
  • Demonstrate flexibility as a team member.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic technology
Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Virginia State license
Current BLS certification

# Radiologic Technologist (PRN)Part Time### Hampton, VATidewater Orthopaedic Associates is looking for a Radiologic Technologist. Our facilities have state of the art Samsung equipment and an extremity MRI machine. The Radiologic Technologist is a member of the Imaging team and is responsible for producing quality diagnostic radiographs with a high degree of proficiency.**Responsibilities:*** Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs and/or MRI images (if applicable) upon the request of the physicians* Fill out all required paperwork accurately and neatly* Maintain all work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly state* Participate in the instruction and evaluation of, and work with radiological technology students* Cross train to do extremity MRI’s* Participate in clinic performance improvement activities* Demonstrate flexibility as a team member* Performs other duties as assigned**Education and Experience:*** Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic technology* Registered American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)* Have current Virginia State license* Current BLS certification required* One (1) year experience in general radiography would be a plus**Physical Demands**Frequently standing, walking, and sitting. Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk or hear. Ability to pull, lift, carry, and push greater than 150lbs repetitively.
