Job summary

Decatur County Hospital in Georgia is seeking a Radiologic Technologist (PRN) to perform diagnostic radiographs per Radiologist protocols, transport patients, and support CT exams. Proficiency with PACS and basic computer skills is required to maintain patient imaging records.

Required ARRT registration with an Iowa permit to practice radiology, CPR/BLS certification, and 1–2+ years CT or hospital experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered; Iowa permit to practice radiology; CPR/BLS.
• Maintain valid licensure/certification/registration.
• CT experience: 1 year required; 2+ years strongly preferred.
• 1+ year hospital experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic radiographs per Radiologist protocols.
• Transport patients between hospital areas.
• Perform and assist in CT exams.
• Complete clerical duties for the department.
• Provide continuity of patient care.

Summary: This position is responsible for providing diagnostic radiographs of all required exams established by Radiologist protocols and needs of the department. Transporting patients to and from various areas/ departments of the hospital. Perform various clerical duties of the department. Perform and or assist in performing CT exams. Basic computer skills as well as PACS knowledge. Provides continuity of patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT registered, Iowa permit to practice radiology. CPR/BLS.
• Ability to maintain valid licensure/certification/registration.
• A minimum of 1 year CT experience required. 2+ years strongly preferred.
• 1+ years of hospital experience strongly preferred

Sign-on Bonus available for qualified candidate with additional 2+ years of MRI experience.
