Qualifications

• Associate's degree or accredited radiologic technology certificate.
• Registration with ARRT required upon hire in Maryland, and within 90 days in Washington, DC.
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required upon hire.
• BLS certification required.
• Effective communication skills and basic computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiology equipment to obtain routine radiographs per physician and protocol specifications.
• Maintain radiation safety, evaluate images for quality, and ensure accurate patient identification and labeling.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, safety, and patient experience.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment, manage supplies, and ensure equipment functionality through quality control activities.
• Communicate effectively with patients, obtain medical histories, and explain procedures to promote comfort and understanding.
• Prepare patients for procedures, support their needs, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Document activities in electronic health records and ensure timely distribution of images for interpretation.
• Adhere to organizational values, ethical standards, and safety regulations, supporting a respectful environment.
