Job summary

Mille Lacs Health System Milaca Clinic is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform general X-ray and portable exams to support diagnosis and patient care. You will position patients, uphold ALARA principles, document in the EMR, and coordinate with radiologists.

Responsibilities include proper study submission, accurate charging, and timely image transfers. This full-time on-site role requires MN ARRT license and BLS, with strong multitasking and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT recognized two-year radiologic program with certificate.
• Current Radiology license in Minnesota (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification required.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Performs general x-ray and portables.
• Positions patients properly to obtain diagnostic, high quality images.
• Adheres to ALARA principles.
• Follow physician instructions, prepare equipment, and obtain optimal images.
• Document in EMR for every exam performed.
• Communicate exam details with radiologist, including off-site exams.
• Submit studies to after-hours service with complete information.
• Complete charges for exams performed.
• Burn CD or push DICOM images when requested for transfers.
• Notifies manager and department of equipment issues.
• Keeps manager apprised of equipment, scheduling, and department issues.
• Work towards radiologic competencies and learning new modalities.
• Utilize downtime on assigned tasks as directed.
