Great Plains Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform specialized radiographic procedures in alignment with organizational policies and professional standards. The role emphasizes accuracy, patient safety, and high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Qualified candidates hold a Nebraska radiographer license or temporary license, ARRT registration or eligibility, a minimum high school diploma and completion of a two-year radiologic technology program; BLS certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduation from an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology.
• State-required Medical Radiographer license or temporary license in Nebraska.
• ARRT registration or registry eligible.
• GPRMC required/preferred: BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, obtains and records patient history and reason for examination, tailoring the exam to patient needs.
• Transports patients safely and assists in preparation for examinations or procedures.
• Operates radiology equipment, selects technical factors based on patient factors, and protects patients from radiation.
• Demonstrates anatomy knowledge and competency in clinical function related to assessment and care.
• Prepares completed images for reading by the radiologist and uses required software applications.
• Takes department call as assigned.
• Engages in continuing education to stay current with technology and procedures.
• Follows policies and provides excellent service to all customers.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Graduation from an accredited two-year program in radiologic technology

Current Medical Radiographer license (Nebraska) or Temporary license
